SEO Software makes it easy to connect your Ghost blog and publish content directly from your dashboard. If you manage more than one Ghost site, you can connect multiple blogs and choose exactly where each article should be published.

How to Connect a Ghost Blog

To connect your Ghost blog, you’ll need your Ghost Admin API Key and API URL. Follow the steps below to find them:

1. Log in to your Ghost Admin Dashboard.
2. Open Settings.
3. Scroll down and select Integrations.
4. Click Add custom integration.
5. Give the integration a name (for example: “SEO Software”).
6. Copy the Admin API Key and API URL.
7. Paste both values into the Ghost integration settings inside SEO Software.
8. Save your changes.

Once connected, your Ghost site will be available as a publishing destination inside SEO Software.

Publishing to Multiple Ghost Sites

If you manage multiple Ghost blogs, you can connect each one separately. When publishing an article, simply select the Ghost site you want to publish to. This is especially useful for agencies, content teams, or site owners managing multiple brands.

Troubleshooting Ghost Connection Issues

If you experience issues while connecting or publishing to Ghost, it’s usually caused by one of the following reasons:

1. Incorrect Ghost Blog URL

Make sure your Ghost URL is entered in the correct format:

https://your-blog-name.ghost.io

Double-check for typos, missing https://, or extra slashes.

2. Post Is Open in Another Editor

If publishing fails, your post may already be open in the Ghost editor—either in another browser tab or by another user.

To fix this:

• Save and close the post in Ghost
• Close any other tabs where the post might be open
• Retry publishing from SEO Software

Ghost does not allow multiple editors to modify the same post at the same time.

3. Invalid or Revoked API Key

If your Admin API Key was deleted or regenerated in Ghost, the integration will stop working. In this case:

• Create a new custom integration in Ghost
• Update the API Key and API URL in SEO Software
